India: Attacks on Muslim property in Rajasthan, curfew extended

The curfew was extended after Hindu extremists attacked Muslim property in the Karoli district of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

According to Indian media, curfew and section 144 will remain in force till April 7 in Crowley. The state government has also ordered suspension of internet service in the district.

In Crowley, Hindu extremist groups set fire to and vandalized Muslim homes and shops on Saturday.

The government had imposed a curfew in the district following sectarian riots in the area.
