Imran Khan's request to be named in ECL and to be tried for treason: decision reserved

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted an inter-court appeal against the inclusion of Imran Khan's name in the Exit Control List (ECL) and rejection of his application for treason trial in connection with the alleged threatening 'American letter' probe. Decision saved.

According to the report, a two-member bench headed by Justice Amir Farooq heard Maulvi Iqbal Haider's intra-court appeal against the decision of the single bench. The counsel for the petitioner argued in the court that the single bench did not consider the case properly and dismissed the petition and also imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000.
