The United Nations says 2,000 Houthi rebel children have been killed in Yemen.

According to the United Nations, Houthi rebels have recruited large numbers of children to fight in Yemen. And in just one and a half years, 2,000 children have been killed.

A report submitted to the UN Security Council by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has revealed that Houthi rebels visit mosques, madrassas and schools to spread their ideology and begin recruiting young fighters. ۔

UN experts report that during the seven-year war, thousands of Houthi rebel-trained children received combat training and took part in regular fighting, and that between January 2020 and May 2021, some 2,000 teenagers were killed.

International organizations have previously protested the recruitment of teenage boys by Houthi rebels in the war in Yemen and this was the first priority in the UN-mediated talks, but the talks proved fruitless.

It should be noted that fierce fighting between the Houthi rebels and the Saudi military alliance has been going on in Yemen since 2014 in which more than 1.5 million people have been killed and millions of children have died due to malnutrition.
