The first budget approved by the Taliban government.

In the Afghan capital, Kabul, the Taliban have approved their first budget since taking power in Afghanistan.

The report states that there is no mention of any foreign aid in the budget approved by the Taliban.

Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the Taliban's finance ministry, said: "This is the first time in the last 20 years that we have created a budget that is not dependent on foreign aid and we are very happy.

In addition, women who are barred from coming to work will not be fired and will be paid. And government employees who have not received their salaries will start paying their salaries by the end of January.

The Taliban government approved the budget for the first quarter of 2022. Almost the entire budget of US 50 508 million has been allocated for funding government agencies.

The budget will spend 4.7 billion Afghanis on development projects.
