Germany offers Ukraine a helmet to compete with Russia's advanced weapons

Friday, January 28, 2022

Germany has offered Ukraine 5,000 helmets instead of providing weapons to ward off Russian aggression.

Germany says providing arms to Ukraine would further escalate the conflict. However, Germany's offer of 5,000 helmets to Ukraine is also being mocked.

According to the report, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kleiba condemned Germany's decision not to give up arms and called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop encouraging it. However, German Justice Minister Kristin Lemricht said that giving a helmet to Ukraine by Germany would be a clear signal that Germany stands by Ukraine.

Vitaly Klitschko, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, called Germany's offer a joke and said that perhaps Germany's next offer would be a pillow. He added that he was surprised by the offer.

Vitaly Klitschko said that Germany could not understand that we were facing a Russian army with sophisticated weapons and that it could attack Ukraine at any time.

It is believed that Russia has deployed a large army on the border with Ukraine. And there is a growing risk of a major war in Europe. Ukraine has called on Western allies to increase their defense capabilities. The United States, Britain and the Baltic states have pledged all possible assistance to Ukraine and announced the provision of anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.
