  • Quaid-e-Azam can send PML-N to Pakistan if requested by Pakistan: British Foreign Office responds to Pakistani citizen's letter
  • London: The British government hinted at sending Nawaz Sharif back. According to details, a major step has been taken to bring Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan. According to a report of a private TV channel, a letter was written to the British Foreign Office by a Pakistani citizen for the expulsion of Nawaz Sharif from Britain.
  • In the letter, the citizen took the position that since Nawaz Sharif is a convicted criminal, he should be deported from the UK and sent back to Pakistan. The British Foreign Office has responded to the citizen's request. In its reply, the British Foreign Office has taken the position that if requested by Pakistan, the Quaid-e-Azam can take action to send the PML-N to Pakistan.
  • Giving details at the request of a Pakistani citizen, it was stated that there is no agreement between Pakistan and the UK on extradition of criminals, however, if a formal request is made to the government of Pakistan, then in that case to send back Nawaz Sharif Action can be taken. Although there is no extradition treaty, extradition has taken place between the two countries in the past.
  • It is to be noted that Nawaz Sharif was first released on bail after his health deteriorated during his imprisonment in Pakistan, while later the court allowed the PML-N leader to travel abroad for medical treatment. However, it has been more than a year since Nawaz Sharif went abroad, but he has not yet started his treatment.
  • In this situation, the court ordered Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan, but he did not accept the court order. The court has declared Nawaz Sharif a fugitive for not returning to the country despite the court's ultimatum. In all these circumstances, the government is of the view that efforts are being made to bring the PML-N back to Pakistan.
