Indian citizen marries two girls at the same time

  • A young man from the Indian state of Chhattisgarh surprised everyone by marrying two girls at the same time.
  • In India, the practice of two marriages is almost non-existent and is considered a crime in the Hindu religion and constitution, but Chandu Moria, a resident of Bedar district in Chhattisgarh, not only established a new tradition by marrying two girls at once.
  • The story goes that the girls named Hasina and Sundri liked Chandra Moria and both of them wanted to marry him so Chandu got married to both of them in the same pavilion keeping their heart.
  • I like them both and they like me too, so the three of us got married in front of the whole village, but one bride's family did not attend the wedding, Chandu Moria said at the wedding.
  • The villagers also attended his wedding and no one opposes it.
  • It may be recalled that under the Hindu Marriage Act, it is a crime to have two marriages at the same time in India, but no case has been registered against Chandu.
