Why did the Afghan Taliban threaten to kill Jan Ibrahim, Kabir Khan and Arshad Warsi?



  • Bollywood actors John Ibrahim, Arshad Warsi and director Kabir Khan have received death threats from the Afghan Taliban.
  • Kabir Khan made his directorial debut in Bollywood in 2006 with the action film 'Kabul Express' in which Jan Ibrahim and Arshad Warsi played the lead roles.
  • Some scenes from the film have also been filmed in troubled areas of Afghanistan, but Kabir Khan has made a big revelation by covering up the difficulties encountered during the filming of these scenes.
  • Kabir Khan revealed that everyone had received death threats during the shooting of the film in Afghanistan.
  • The Taliban threatened to stop the shooting of the film, while the Indian ambassador also said that the Afghan Taliban had sent a death squad which we were scared of, but the Afghan government provided us with full security, 'he said.
  • We were given 60 armed security personnel by the government and that number was more than our crew members. We were moving around in such security that we felt like militants, 'he said.
  • Kabir Khan said in an incident that there was a firing during the shooting of the film on which the shooting was stopped for an hour.
  • It may be recalled that the film also featured actors from Pakistan and Afghanistan, with Salman Shahid from Pakistan and Hanif Hum Gham from Afghanistan playing important roles.
