 Fear of lockdown: Billions of rupees sank in the stock market


  • The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) continued its downward trend today due to fears of a lockdown in view of the rise in Corona and billions of rupees of investors sank.
  • Due to increasing cases of Corona in the country and fear of re-lockdown, there has been a negative trend of investment in the Pakistan Stock Exchange since the beginning of trading and investors have lost Rs 144 billion.
  • At the beginning of the new month and on the first day of the business week, the 100 Index lost 1,111 points, but at the end of the trading session, the 100 Index lost 775.82 points and the index closed at 39,112 points.
  • Today, 32 crore shares of 396 companies were traded in the stock market worth more than Rs 11.96 billion.
  • Market capitalization today fell by Rs 144 billion to Rs 7,255 billion.
