 Digital Cooperation Organization consisting of 7 countries including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia


  • A Digital Cooperation Organization consisting of 7 countries including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was established.
  • The federal cabinet approved Saudi Arabia's proposal to join the Digital Cooperation Organization, following which a seven-nation Digital Cooperation Organization has been established.
  • Under the organization, key decisions on digital transformation in the region will be made by seven countries, while cybersecurity, health systems and education systems will also be digitized.
  • The Digital Cooperation Organization will include seven countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, while India has not been included in the seven-nation Digital Cooperation Organization plan.
  • The Digital Cooperation Organization will be headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, while the first meeting of IT Ministers of the member countries has also been convened in which Pakistan will be represented by Federal Minister for Information Technology Syed Aminul Haq.
