At least 140 people have drowned after a refugee boat capsized in Senegal.

  • According to media reports, 200 people were aboard the wrecked boat, 59 of whom were rescued by nearby fishermen, including the Senegalese and Spanish navies, while the bodies of 20 of those who drowned have also been recovered.
