Dozens of drug packets recovered from the governor's car in Panama

- Panama City: 79 packets of drugs were recovered from the governor's car in Panama.
- According to local media, Panamanian police stopped a vehicle on suspicion of drug trafficking. A search of the vehicle turned up 79 packets of drugs under the seats.
- One of the suspects was later identified as Eric Martillo, the governor of Guna Yala, Panama. Police say they searched a vehicle stuck in a traffic jam after receiving a tip-off.
- Panamanian President Nato Cortazo wrote in his Twitter message, referring to the police operation, that violations of the law by government employees and officials would not be tolerated.
